Marcus Rashford has been associated with a possible exit from Manchester United after revealing his interest in seeking a “new challenge.” His future at Old Trafford has been uncertain since being excluded from the squad for the Manchester derby.
Several Premier League teams, including Arsenal, are said to be keen on acquiring the 27-year-old forward. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Rashford’s potential move is reaching a decisive point.
According to The i Paper, Arsenal would only entertain signing Rashford if the deal fits within their financial structure. The Gunners are currently facing difficulties in attack, struggling with both goal-scoring and creativity this season.
Their recent match against Everton in the Premier League exposed a lack of depth and quality in Arsenal’s offensive lineup. With both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli not performing up to expectations, manager Mikel Arteta may see Rashford as an important addition to rejuvenate their attack.
Arteta has a reputation for developing players at the Emirates, and Rashford’s obvious talent and flexibility—able to play on either wing or as a striker—could make him a valuable asset. However, his reported £300,000-a-week wages remain a considerable obstacle to any potential transfer.
As Arsenal considers their options, Rashford will need to stay focused on his on-field performances, avoiding off-field distractions. Whether Arteta can achieve the same success with Rashford as he has with other players remains to be seen.
