The futures of several Liverpool players are up in the air due to their contract situations at Anfield. Key players such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil van Dijk are all in the final year of their contracts, and another key figure, Luis Díaz, could also leave if a new deal isn’t reached.

According to Spanish outlet Antena 2, Liverpool are having difficulties in extending Díaz’s contract. Should talks break down, the Colombian winger may be enticed to join Barcelona, with other prominent clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan also closely following his situation.

Díaz has been vital for Liverpool this season, playing a key role in their success in both the Premier League and Champions League under manager Arne Slot. With nine goals and three assists, he has firmly cemented himself as the starting left winger.

Liverpool are reported to value Díaz at €80 million (£66.2 million/$83.5 million), a sum that may be hard for financially constrained Barcelona to meet. Although Díaz is said to prefer a move to La Liga, Barcelona faces difficulties in completing the deal.

As Salah nears the final stages of his time at Liverpool, keeping players like Díaz, who are both goal-scorers and playmakers, is crucial. The club is expected to make every effort to secure his long-term future at Anfield.

Meanwhile, rumors about Alexander-Arnold’s potential departure continue, with Lyon’s Rayan Cherki linked to a move to Liverpool. However, the ongoing uncertainty about Díaz’s future remains a significant concern for the club.
