Manchester City is preparing to strengthen their squad with three new additions, all of which are reportedly close to being finalized. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the club has already organized medical checks, contract signings, and other necessary procedures.

First, City is close to finalizing the acquisition of 20-year-old Uzbek international Khojiakbar Alijonov for €40 million, with the possibility of additional performance-based bonuses. The club has also reached a preliminary agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush, who has scored 14 goals in 16 Bundesliga appearances, with an official offer anticipated shortly.

Additionally, City has completed an agreement with Palmeiras centre-back Vitor Reis, although talks regarding the transfer fee between the two clubs are still ongoing.

Despite these moves, City’s primary focus remains reinforcing their midfield following Rodri’s knee injury, which has sidelined him for the remainder of the season. They have targeted Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni as a key acquisition.

According to Football Insider, City has set aside funds to pursue the 24-year-old French international, who is also capable of playing in central defense. While Tchouameni has made over 100 appearances for Real Madrid, he is not always a regular starter in midfield. The prospect of securing a guaranteed starting spot at City is reportedly attractive, and both City and Liverpool are keen to lure him away from Madrid. A transfer in the summer is considered more probable, but both English clubs are optimistic about persuading him to move.

Given Tchouameni’s age, experience, and his £85 million transfer fee from Monaco to Madrid, City may need to offer a similar amount. However, they appear prepared to make a substantial investment to secure his services.
