The Brazilian star was subjected to repeated provocations by the Spanish defender, prompting him to retaliate with a parting shot: “Go home.”
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti attempted to downplay the altercation, stating: “I tried to calm the situation with Maffeo, but it was unnecessary. The game was already over, and I don’t blame anyone. The players were heated, and I attempted to diffuse the tension. Thankfully, nothing serious happened, and calm was eventually restored.”
