Jurgen Klopp is reportedly expected to return to Liverpool before the season concludes.

Klopp made a surprising announcement in January 2024, revealing he would step down as Liverpool’s manager after the 2023/24 season.

He was succeeded by former Feyenoord coach Arne Slot in the summer.

Slot has done an excellent job so far, with Liverpool now only 11 points away from securing the Premier League title.

At present, Liverpool is leading the Premier League, sitting 11 points ahead of Arsenal, and with only seven matches left, they are in a strong position to clinch their 20th top-flight title.

As shared by James Pearce of The Athletic on social media: “Jurgen Klopp to return to Merseyside next month. Set to be announced as guest speaker at LFC Foundation gala dinner at Liverpool Cathedral. Unclear yet whether he will attend final game of the season v Palace. Open invitation from Arne Slot.”

The report mentioned that Klopp will be the guest speaker at the LFC Foundation gala dinner at Liverpool Cathedral on May 23.

It has also been suggested that Klopp has been invited to attend Liverpool’s final Premier League match against Crystal Palace, scheduled for May 25 at Anfield.

In a recent interview, Klopp was asked whether he would be in the city for a potential parade if Liverpool successfully fend off Arsenal to win the Premier League title.

He responded: “Yes, the plan is (to be in Liverpool) but not on the bus.

“That’s the idea to be honest, but we will see. I think I will be there for the last game. I didn’t want to go earlier to be honest because I didn’t want to jinx it. So I’ll go when it’s decided.”

Klopp led Liverpool to their first-ever Premier League title in the 2019/20 season.
