Courtois has been busy “swallowing goals,” but since his name isn’t “Onana” or “Ter Stegen,” no one seems to be mentioning it.
He let in 4 goals against Barcelona in “El Clasico,”
conceded 2 versus Celta Vigo,
allowed 3 against Barcelona in the “Copa Del Rey Final,”
conceded 5 goals versus Arsenal in the “UCL,”
and also let in 4 goals to Real Sociedad and 2 to Leganés.
Altogether, Courtois has conceded 21 goals in his last 12 games… but since it’s not “Onana” or “Sanchez,” no one’s bringing it up.
Sometimes, having a strong defense and a solid team makes a goalkeeper *look* great — but when form dips and the defense is weak, flaws get exposed. I’m not saying Courtois is a bad goalkeeper, I’m just saying.
