Arsenal supporters believe Manchester United could play a key role in helping them land their dream striker before the transfer deadline.

Arsenal fans believe Manchester United could play a role in helping them secure their “dream” striker before the January transfer window closes.

Despite sitting second in the Premier League ahead of game week 24, Arsenal and manager Mikel Arteta are keen to strengthen their squad, particularly in attack, as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus are sidelined with injuries.

With Kai Havertz leading the line for much of the season, his performances have drawn criticism, even though he has scored eight goals in 20 league appearances. Many feel he struggles to deliver in crucial matches.

Arsenal have been linked with strikers like Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko, but in a surprising move, they reportedly submitted a £60m bid for Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins, which was rejected. The 29-year-old has previously expressed his admiration for Arsenal, calling it his “dream” club and citing Thierry Henry as his idol.

Despite Villa rejecting Arsenal’s initial offer, fans speculate that Marcus Rashford’s potential loan move to Villa could open the door for Watkins to join Arsenal. Reports suggest Rashford, 27, is close to finalizing a move to the Midlands club.

Villa recently sold striker Jhon Duran to Saudi club Al-Nassr for up to £71m, leaving them short of attacking options. Arsenal supporters believe Rashford’s arrival could trigger a “domino effect” that leads to Watkins’ transfer before Monday’s 11 pm deadline.

Fans on social media shared mixed reactions, with some eager for the move, while others questioned the price tag. Meanwhile, Villa manager Unai Emery has insisted that Watkins is content at the club, emphasizing the striker’s commitment and appreciation for Aston Villa’s support over the years.
