Swedish striker Aleksander Isak is considering his options, and if Newcastle agrees to sell him, two options are on the table.
English media report that Isak is contemplating moves to either Barcelona or Liverpool, with Liverpool currently having the upper hand.
Apparently, Isak would prefer to stay in the Premier League, and Liverpool is the club that attracts him the most, especially if Darwin Nunez leaves, which seems more than likely.
Liverpool will certainly be prepared to break the bank for a new striker, and Isak fits the profile of Arne Slot, who is even willing to let Diogo Jota go in order to make room for the lethal center-forward.
From a financial standpoint, Liverpool is also in a better position than Barcelona, which needs to cash in on some players to afford Isak, who is valued at over €120 million.
It’s no secret that both Arsenal and Mikel Arteta are dreaming of Isak’s arrival in London, but right now the Swede isn’t thinking about joining the “Gunners.”
Isak has been one of the Premier League’s top strikers this season, scoring 23 goals and providing five assists in 33 matches across all competitions.
