Liverpool’s Alexander Isak is open to a transfer to Barcelona but would rather join Liverpool if they pursue the 25-year-old striker this summer. (Source: El Nacional) Published 2 weeks ago on March 25, 2025, by admin.

Swedish forward Aleksander Isak is weighing his options, and if Newcastle consents to sell him, two choices are on the table.

Reports from English media indicate that Isak is considering moves to either Barcelona or Liverpool, with Liverpool currently holding the advantage.

It seems that Isak prefers to remain in the Premier League, and Liverpool is the club that appeals to him the most, particularly if Darwin Nunez departs, which seems increasingly probable.

Liverpool will undoubtedly be ready to spend big for a new striker, and Isak matches the profile of Arne Slot, who is even open to letting Diogo Jota leave to make space for the prolific center-forward.

From a financial perspective, Liverpool also finds itself in a stronger position than Barcelona, which needs to sell players to afford Isak, who is valued at over €120 million.

It is well-known that both Arsenal and Mikel Arteta are hoping for Isak’s arrival in London, but at the moment, the Swedish forward isn’t focused on joining the “Gunners.”

This season, Isak has been one of the Premier League’s top strikers, netting 23 goals and providing five assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.
