Following their **5-1** demolition of **Tottenham Hotspur**, **Liverpool** made their **Premier League** title victory official on **Sunday, April 27**, and began their festivities. The side’s **20th league title** was seen as inevitable after a season of dominance over the rest of the top tier, building a vast advantage over second-place **Arsenal**—and now they finally possess the trophy.

They simply needed to avoid a loss against **Tottenham**, yet they clinched the championship emphatically with a dominant **5-1** display against **Ange Postecoglou**’s squad. That result sparked immense joy among the squad and their supporters. Unlike their previous **Premier League** triumph during the height of **Covid-19** rules, this marks the first time the team can stage a celebratory parade for claiming the trophy. However, there will be a wait—and the moment the **Reds** officially hoist the historic trophy is now confirmed.

**When Liverpool Will Lift Premier League Title**

The **Reds** will have to be patient until the final matchday.

Even though they’ve secured the **Premier League** title with four fixtures still remaining—illustrating how overwhelming their campaign has been—**Liverpool** will not be presented with the trophy until their season finale against **Crystal Palace**. That game is scheduled for **Sunday, May 25** at **Anfield**, and celebrations will follow. Back in 2020, when they last captured the **Premier League**, the trophy lift took place without spectators due to **Covid-19**, but this time, fans will get to revel in the moment alongside the team.

**GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic**: **Liverpool’s 20th league title** places them on par with **Manchester United** for the highest number of **top division championships** in **English football** history.

This caps an extraordinary opening year for **Slot** and his backroom team. They still have four more **Premier League** matches left. **Manchester United** owns the record for earliest clinch of the **Premier League**, having sealed it on **April 14** in the **2000/01** campaign, meaning **Slot** and his staff narrowly missed making history by just 13 days.
