Liverpool NewsLiverpool have six man shortlist for new signings in the summer transfer window. – Report…
Liverpool has pinpointed six main “targets” for incoming players in the upcoming “summer transfer window.”
The club is concentrating on signing a “striker,” a “central defender,” and a “left-back,” according to “Football Insider.”
A major anticipated development is the departure of “Darwin Nunez,” who has struggled to fit into “Arne Slot’s” tactical system.
The “Premier League champions” intend to bring in a more reliable striker, addressing the clear shortage of attacking options this season, having leaned heavily on “Mohamed Salah” for scoring.
“Slot” is working to resolve this problem and has expressed interest in “Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins” as a possible new leading forward at “Anfield.”
In addition, the need for a fresh left-back has become more pressing due to doubts over “Andy Robertson’s” recent form and long-term role at the club.
While “Robertson” remains an important squad member, his lack of consistency has prompted the search for a younger, more energetic alternative, with “Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez” being the top choice.
Moreover, even though “Virgil van Dijk” recently signed a contract extension, the club is still seeking a new central defender to strengthen their backline, with “Dean Huijsen” and “Marc Guehi” among those being evaluated.
Notably, even with the likely exit of “Trent Alexander-Arnold,” the team is not placing emphasis on securing a replacemen
t at right-back.
