**Arsenal secures the addition of another forward after finalizing full agreement with a major European club; deal expected to be permanent, with medical tests booked and the player en route to London to wrap up the move.**

Reports suggest **Arsenal are weighing up a potential move for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke**.

On Tuesday, the Gunners unveiled their newest signing from Stamford Bridge, with goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga joining in a **£5 million transfer**.

Manager Mikel Arteta is said to be looking to enhance his attacking options following Arsenal’s close finish in the 2024–25 Premier League title race.

Though bringing in a striker remains a top objective, the North London club are also aiming to secure at least one more inventive attacker in the upcoming transfer period.

As per transfer expert **Fabrizio Romano**, internal conversations are underway at Arsenal to assess if Madueke should become a formal target.

### **Current Position of Madueke**

Romano reports that Arsenal are currently evaluating the possibility of initiating talks with Chelsea regarding the England international.

So far, neither the club nor the player has received an official proposal, though one may soon be presented if Arsenal choose to act on their interest in the 23-year-old.

Broadcaster Ben Jacobs also notes that, although **Enzo Maresca still values Madueke**, Chelsea may entertain bids in the **£45 million range**.

### **Could Chelsea Cash In?**

Since arriving from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023 for approximately **£28.5 million**, Madueke has recorded **20 goals and 9 assists across 90 appearances** in all competitions.

While his limited assist numbers may partly reflect the struggles of Chelsea’s forwards, questions remain about his consistency in the attacking third.

Consequently, a notable portion of Chelsea’s supporters appear open to a sale—particularly if Arsenal are prepared to pay close to the reported £45 million valuation.

Chelsea are likely to soon bolster their forward line with the arrivals of **Jamie Bynoe-Gittens**, **Joao Pedro**, and **Estevao Willian** from Palmeiras.

Although Madueke has shown promise and delivered value for Chelsea, a potential decline in game time seems probable if he stays.

Conversely, a move to Arsenal could offer him the opportunity to contend for a starting role alongside **Bukayo Saka**, **Gabriel Martinelli**, and **Leandro Trossard**.

Josh Lawless Josh Lawless Manchester United fans have identified an issue with Bryan Mbeumo in their opening weekend defeat to Arsenal. The Red Devils lost 1-0 to the Gunners at Old Trafford, with Riccardo Calafiori scoring the only goal of the game from a Declan Rice corner which Altay Bayandir flapped at. There were plenty of encouraging signs in defeat for United, with new signings Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha full of energy and excitement in their competitive debuts. Manager Ruben Amorim liked a lot of what he saw and said that his side had proved they “can win any game in the Premier League” if they perform in the same vein. But while there was plenty of positivity from a United perspective, a potential problem was spotted by fans regarding Mbeumo. The Cameroonian, who scored 20 goals last season, lined up on the right of a front three and looked to cut in one his trusty left foot. The Ivory Coast international came up with big moments in what was collectively a poor campaign for the club last season and has proved to be one of United’s most dangerous players under Amorim. The decision to not start him came as a surprise but having seen what happened when he entered the fray, many fans have started to form an explanation as to why. Plenty online felt that Amad and Mbeumo did not work as a combination as they were too similar in coming in off the right with their left foot and took up the same space. One fan on X commented: “Mbeumo and Amad combo can’t work, please!!!” A second said: “Jeeezzz, I thought I’ve been the only one saying this…bro I start Dalot over Amad at any time at that RWB…immediately Amad came up, we stopped playing wide man.” A third agreed: “Amad and Mbuemo just always want to be in the same spot man.” A fourth stated: “Lots questioning on why Amorim play Dalot instead of Amad before. And now they know why. The difference is there when Dalot overlap at the outside and create space for Mbeumo to cut inside meanwhile Amad always overlaps inside and creates limited space for Mbeumo to cut inside. A final user added: “We looked more balanced with Dalot at RWB. Amad had a good cameo but him and Mbeumo want to cut in and shoot, none of them wants to receive the ball on their right to cross.” Fans felt as though Mbeumo and Amad occupied the same space.
