Joao Pedro called scoring his first goals for Chelsea a “dream come true” after he struck twice in the team’s 3-0 victory over Fluminense, securing a spot in the Club World Cup final.

The Brazilian striker, who arrived at Chelsea just last week in a £60 million transfer from Brighton, quickly made an impact on the big stage. With Liam Delap unavailable due to suspension for the semi-final, coach Enzo Maresca opted to start Joao Pedro as the central striker — a choice that proved highly effective.

Pedro netted twice in his full debut, displaying composure, agility, and clinical finishing as Chelsea cruised into Sunday’s final, where they will meet either Paris Saint-Germain or Real Mad

rid.
