BREAKING NEWS: “The Decision is Reversed!” — Casemiro Reportedly Signs New Man United Contract After “Shattering” U-Turn Convinced by Matheus Cunha.

1. The Great U-Turn: “He Convinced Me to Stay!”

The “Old Trafford heartbeat” is officially staying put. In a “nuclear” development that has sent shockwaves through the Premier League, Casemiro has reportedly reversed his decision to leave Manchester United this summer.

Despite an official announcement earlier in the season that the 2025/26 campaign would be his last in England, the 34-year-old midfield general has reportedly put pen to paper on a new contract. In a “raw and emotional” revelation on Sunday, April 5, 2026, Casemiro credited one specific teammate for the “dramatic” change of heart.

“I’LL LEAVE HIM AS A CLUB LEGEND… HE IS THE ONE WHO CHANGED MY MIND!” — CASEMIRO FINALLY REVEALS THE TRUTH 😱💣

The “Cunha” Factor: A Brotherhood Reborn

The “ONE teammate” behind the miracle is none other than his fellow countryman and United’s star forward, Matheus Cunha. Since arriving at Old Trafford, Cunha has been “relentless” in his public and private campaign to keep Casemiro at the club.

• The Persuasion: Cunha reportedly told TNT Sports, “I’M ALWAYS ASKING HIM: ‘COME ON, STAY AT MANCHESTER UNITED. JUST ONE YEAR WITH ME!’” * The Bond: Casemiro admitted that the close relationship with Cunha, both at United and with the Brazil National Team, made the prospect of leaving “unbearable” during the team’s current resurgence under interim boss Michael Carrick.

The “Waived Clause”: Clearing the Path for 2027

The path to the new deal was cleared last week when United and Casemiro reached a “shattering” agreement to waive a performance-based extension clause in his original contract.

• The Original Deal: Casemiro’s previous contract would have automatically triggered a 12-month extension if he started 35 Premier League games.

• The New Agreement: By waiving the clause, both parties were able to negotiate a fresh, multi-year deal that reflects Casemiro’s “remarkable” form under Carrick, where he has registered 7 goals and 2 assists this season.

The Carrick Revolution: “He’s Like Roy Keane!”

Former United star Kleberson has also been vocal about the U-turn, comparing Casemiro’s influence to that of Roy Keane. Under Michael Carrick, Casemiro has found a “new lease of life,” anchoring a midfield that has seen United climb back into the Champions League spots following the “Bournemouth VAR victory.”

“UNITED WILL NOT MAKE A U-TURN… UNTIL NOW!” 👀🔴

Fans React: “The Legend Continues!”

The United faithful are in a state of “pure electricity” as the news of the contract spreads across social media.

• “Casemiro staying for another year is the best transfer news we could have got. Him and Mainoo are the perfect bridge to the future!” one fan tweeted.

• “Matheus Cunha deserves a statue just for this! To convince a legend like Case to stay when everyone thought he was gone is massive!” added another.

What’s Next? The “Final Stretch” and 2027 Plans

With his future secured, Casemiro is now free to lead United through their “titanic” final matches of the season without the shadow of a departure hanging over him. With the club also finalizing a new long-term deal for Kobbie Mainoo, the “Carrick Era” is beginning to look like a permanent fixture at the Theatre of Dreams.
