THE CHAMPION’S ULTIMATUM: Arsenal Wonderkid Myles Lewis-Skelly Demands Two Major Guarantees From Arne Slot Before Shock Liverpool Switch.

Just days after Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal officially crossed the finish line to lift the Premier League trophy, North London has been rocked by an absolute bombshell. Reports verifying a sensational development today, Thursday, May 21, 2026, confirm that Gunners academy crown jewel Myles Lewis-Skelly has opened the door to a stunning move to Arne Slot’s Liverpool—but he has set two strict, non-negotiable conditions.

The 19-year-old tactical shape-shifter has seen his stock skyrocket across Europe due to his flawless ability to operate as both a high-tempo central midfielder and an inverted left-back. But despite the championship celebrations currently engulfing the Emirates, the teenager is thinking long-term—and Anfield is calling.

“Slot Must First Assure Me”—The Teenage Conditions

With Liverpool currently resetting their infrastructure and preparing a multi-million-pound summer war chest under Sporting Director Richard Hughes, Slot has identified Lewis-Skelly as a generational talent who can immediately inject dynamic versatility into the squad.

However, the England youth international is refusing to leave a title-winning ecosystem without absolute clarity on how he will be deployed.

“The breakthrough talks have stunned executives. Myles knows his value has never been higher. He is fully ready to make the switch to Merseyside, but his camp has delivered a direct message to the Liverpool boss: ‘Now that we’ve won the league, I’m fully ready to join Liverpool — but Arne Slot must first assure me of TWO important things!’ Without these guarantees, he will stay put.”

THE DUAL DEMANDS:‼️ What Lewis-Skelly Wants at Anfield

Dressing room insiders have leaked the exact two pillars of assurance the Arsenal prodigy is demanding before greenlighting a medical:

 1. A Defined Midfield Future: Lewis-Skelly wants a firm promise that he is being signed primarily to develop in his natural central midfield role. While he excelled filling in out wide for Arteta, he refuses to be pigeonholed as a permanent left-back option, demanding to test himself in the engine room alongside Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.

 2. Clear First-Team Pathway: With Liverpool heavily linked to high-profile continental signings like Napoli’s £70m winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, the teenager is demanding guaranteed first-team minutes. He wants a written development plan ensuring he won’t be relegated to the U-21s or sent on a developmental loan.

THE NORTH LONDON MUTINY:‼️ Arteta Blindsided Amid Title Parade

Losing a homegrown phenom to a fierce historical rival the exact same week they won the league has left Mikel Arteta completely devastated.

1 The Tactical Gap: Arteta has spent two years meticulously grooming Lewis-Skelly to inherit the complex inverted tactical role in his system. His sudden willingness to leave creates an immediate, massive headache for Arsenal’s depth.

2 The Kvaradona Effect: If Slot provides the assurances and seals the deal, Lewis-Skelly’s elite ball-carrying capability from deep will provide the perfect structural balance behind Liverpool’s incoming frontline targets.

3 The Final Day Stakes: Despite the transfer drama, everything rests on Liverpool cleanly navigating their final-day match against Brentford this Sunday to mathematically secure their Champions League status—a requirement that Lewis-Skelly’s camp has hinted is also an absolute necessity.

Will Arne Slot grant the newly crowned Premier League champion the two assurances he demands to finalize this historic Anfield heist, or will Mikel Arteta intervene to convince the wonderkid that his future remains in North London?
