Manchester United have been rocked by reports of a serious rift between new boss Ruben Amorim and a senior player. The manager has allegedly labelled the player a “bad influence”, sparking talks of a potential exit this summer.

The intensifying conflict between Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim and winger Alejandro Garnacho has now reached a critical stage, with the 20-year-old Argentine seemingly on the verge of leaving Old Trafford.

Insiders connected to the club, as of July 1, 2025, have disclosed that Amorim described Garnacho as a “bad influence” on the team, pointing to his behavior and public actions as harmful to the squad’s cohesion.

This clash, which resulted in Garnacho’s £50 million transfer to Arsenal, has deeply affected United supporters, with social media reactions ranging from outrage and frustration to backing for Amorim’s firm approach.

Trouble began following United’s Europa League final defeat to Tottenham in May 2025, when Garnacho referred to the season as “s\*\*\*” and was later dropped from the lineup.
