Manchester United Identify Two Goalkeepers to Replace Andre Onana This Summer

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has allegedly identified two goalkeepers as potential successors to Andre Onana, who may depart the club this summer.

Onana, who arrived at United in 2023 for £43.8 million, has experienced a turbulent season. While he has shown flashes of brilliance, certain performances have raised concerns about his long-term future at Old Trafford. His stunning double save against Southampton in January drew comparisons to United icon Peter Schmeichel, yet his fate remains uncertain.

With clubs from the Saudi Pro League reportedly keen on acquiring the 28-year-old Cameroonian, United are already scouting for a new first-choice goalkeeper.

As per reports from *The Sun* via *TeamTalk*, Amorim has identified two promising goalkeepers:

1. Senne Lammens (Royal Antwerp)

2. Lucas Chevalier (Lille)

Both are under contract until 2027, meaning United would need to reach an agreement on a transfer fee to bring them in.

Lucas Chevalier – The 23-year-old Lille goalkeeper has been on the radar of both Manchester United and Manchester City for months. His outstanding form this season earned him a call-up to the French national team last year. His performances have made him a highly sought-after talent, with a reported price tag of around €30 million (£25 million).

Senne Lammens – The Royal Antwerp shot-stopper is also drawing attention from several Premier League clubs. At just 21 years old, he is considered a goalkeeper with immense potential. However, unlike Chevalier, Lammens has yet to make an appearance for Belgium’s national team. His estimated value is significantly lower, at approximately £4.5 million, though some sources claim Lille could demand £40 million for his transfer.

Securing either goalkeeper won’t be straightforward, as several elite European clubs, including United’s major Premier League rivals, are also monitoring them.

Should Onana depart, Amorim will need to act swiftly to find the right replacement. Both Chevalier and Lammens possess talent and promise, but whoever joins will have a tough task living up to Onana’s standout performances for the club.
