LIVERPOOLLiverpool NewsDONE DEAL: Liverpool to Unveil First Signing Under Arne Slot – Superstar Agrees to Five-Year Deal. Agreement has been reached for $19M…Published 2 months ago on January 31, 2025By Destiny Omodion

Liverpool is on the verge of announcing its first signing with Arne Slot at the helm, as a star player has finalized a five-year contract. The transfer fee has been set at $19 million.

Liverpool transfer news reveals that Arne Slot has been given the go-ahead for a $19 million acquisition, while Ajax’s young talent Jorrel Hato has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding his future.

Fans of Liverpool may find interest in the latest update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano this afternoon.

The Reds are considering a long-term solution for the aging Andrew Robertson at left-back, and with Virgil van Dijk’s contract nearing its conclusion, Hato could emerge as a fitting successor should Van Dijk depart.

Although Liverpool has been relatively quiet in the transfer market since Slot’s appointment, he has indicated that changes are on the horizon for the summer.

Preparations are already in motion to enhance the squad.

“People sometimes question this because they haven’t seen us doing a lot in the transfer market in the summer and now in the winter as well,” Slot shared with the BBC.

“There’s a reason for that – because we’re happy with the squad! But I do know we’re definitely working on strengthening in the summer.

That would mean, in my opinion, that we will, for the upcoming years — if the players keep working this hard — be able to challenge for every trophy we are playing for.”

Eighteen-year-old Ajax defender Jorrel Hato has been linked to Liverpool after being seen at Anfield during the match against Ipswich last Saturday. Addressing the rumors, he stated, “I read it all,” during a press conference.

“But I also know that not everything was right. For my development, it’s best that I stay at Ajax now.

I was invited by Ryan Gravenberch. But I didn’t speak to a director there. Liverpool played well and the atmosphere in the stadium was good, but there is no more to say.”

Romano has indicated that Premier League clubs are actively reaching out regarding the potential signing of highly regarded young Ajax defender Jorrel Hato in anticipation of the summer transfer window, even though he does not explicitly reference Arsenal or Liverpool.

While Hato will not be transferring this January, he appears to be a player to keep an eye on for the upcoming transfer period, especially as other report

s have connected him to both Arsenal and Liverpool.
