Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has addressed speculation surrounding a viral photo that had fans questioning his attitude toward teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold, amid reports of the right-back’s potential move to Real Madrid.
The image, taken during Liverpool’s return to training at the AXA Training Centre, showed a seemingly awkward interaction between Alexander-Arnold and several teammates, including Mac Allister. Fans quickly speculated that the Argentine midfielder was giving the England international the cold shoulder due to his rumored summer exit.
However, Mac Allister has now set the record straight, dismissing any tension between them. “People are reading too much into it. Trent is my teammate, and we all respect him. What happens in the future is his decision, but inside the team, we remain united,” he clarified.
Alexander-Arnold’s reported move to Real Madrid has sparked mixed reactions among Liverpool supporters, with some feeling betrayed by the idea of him leaving on a free transfer.
