Confirmed, Ansu Fati has a new team: Farewell to Barça and an unexpected destination by Our team on April 4, 2025

Flick’s arrival at Barça has brought a significant shift in the performance of a squad that had appeared much weaker when he took over. The German coach has succeeded in maximizing the potential of his players, helping many return to their best form. Footballers who seemed far off their peak at the start of the season have shown remarkable improvement.

The standout example is Frenkie de Jong. The Dutch midfielder, who began the season poorly, has regained his top form and become an essential part of the team. His partnership with Pedri has significantly boosted the team’s midfield performance, offering control, a sharp vision of the game, and a strong presence in the attacking area.

Ansu Fati’s Situation in the Squad

However, not all players have been able to adjust to Flick’s system. Ansu Fati is notably absent from the team’s dynamics. Despite the coach’s efforts to bring out his best, the homegrown player has struggled to perform at the expected level.

A lack of confidence, recurring injuries, and fierce competition in the attack have relegated Ansu to a secondary role, to the point of being excluded from the matchday squads. Flick gave him chances in the early months of the season, but the young forward’s performance never fully convinced. His lack of flair, diminishing explosiveness, and loss of self-assurance in his play led the German coach to stop relying on him completely.

The Two Possibilities Barça Is Considering for Ansu

Given Ansu Fati’s high salary, despite his limited playing time, Barça has been contemplating its next steps. He remains one of the top earners in the squad, which is a financial burden for the club. Management is weighing two options: either sell him in the upcoming transfer window or renew his contract, spreading his salary over more years to ease the immediate financial strain.

The preferred option for Barça is to sell him, as this would generate revenue and create space in the wage bill. However, if no lucrative offers come in, the club may consider a renewal with salary adjustments to lessen the impact of his current contract.

The First Official Offer Comes In

As reported by “E-Noticies,” Ansu Fati has already received a formal offer from Besiktas. The Turkish club is interested in acquiring him and could present a solution for Barça in the summer. However, it remains uncertain whether the player will accept this move, as his initial goal was to remain in a more competitive league.

Barça sees the potential for a positive transfer outcome, allowing them to clear space in the squad for future signings. The final decision now lies with the player, who must decide whether to make a career change and accept an offer from Turkish football or continue to pursue more appealing opportunities.
