**Arsenal’s January & Summer Transfer Plans**

Arsenal’s transfer activities in January are expected to be minimal

Reports suggest that Arsenal’s plans for the upcoming transfer windows have been revealed.

While Arsenal is aiming to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s squad for 2025, it seems unlikely they will make many moves in January, according to reports.

An injury crisis disrupted Arsenal’s season at the start, but they have regained form in recent weeks. However, they currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League, trailing leaders Liverpool by nine points.

Arsenal has not hesitated to make January signings in the past, bringing in players like Jorginho and Leandro Trossard. However, ESPN reports that they are unlikely to make similar moves this time.

Unless another injury crisis arises, Arsenal is not expected to add new players in January and will instead focus on preparations for a potentially busy summer transfer window.

The Athletic further reveals that Arsenal plans to target several attacking reinforcements, including a new striker and a winger who can provide strong cover for Bukayo Saka.

Among the targets are Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres and Sweden’s Alexander Isak of Newcastle United. Gyokeres might be available for around €70m (£58.2m), while Isak is expected to cost nearly double that figure.

In addition, Arsenal intends to inject more youth into their midfield in anticipation of the eventual departures of the aging Jorginho and Thomas Partey. Although Mikel Merino, a summer signing, is 28, he is not significantly lowering the squad’s average age.

Arsenal is also planning to bring in at least one new goalkeeper to challenge David Raya. Neto, the current backup, is only on loan from Bournemouth, and there was already a desire to sign a high-quality third-choice keeper last summer.
