Barcelona 3-3 Inter Milan: Player Ratings and Match Highlights
**Inter Milan**
Barcelona and Inter Milan played out one of the most thrilling Champions League encounters in recent times, ending in a 3-3 draw during the first leg of their semi-final matchup. Quick goals from *Marcus Thuram* and *Denzel Dumfries* gave the Italian side an early lead and caught Barcelona off guard, but *Hansi Flick’s* squad responded, with *Lamine Yamal* and *Ferran Torres* scoring to make it even by halftime. Dumfries struck again after the break to restore Inter’s advantage, but *Sommer’s* own goal soon after meant the match concluded level.
Given their recent form, many had anticipated that Barcelona would dominate the game, but it was Inter who struck first, scoring within the opening minute. Following a delivery into the hosts’ box, Thuram latched onto it and produced a stunning backheel flick to beat *Szczesny*.
**Lamine Yamal**
Under 20 minutes later, Dumfries added a second in spectacular fashion. A corner was delivered into Barcelona’s box, and after the ball was redirected into his path, he executed a bicycle kick to find the net, stunning the home crowd. However, Barcelona quickly recovered, and Yamal demonstrated why he’s regarded as the top teenage talent in world football with a dazzling solo goal—beating several Inter defenders and blasting the ball in off the post.
That goal ignited the turnaround, and before the break, Torres equalised for Flick’s men. *Raphinha* met a long ball and nodded it into the path of the ex-Manchester City forward, who slotted it past *Yann Sommer* from close range. After the interval, Dumfries netted his second header of the evening and likely believed he had secured victory, but a bizarre own goal from Sommer—after Raphinha’s long-range shot hit the bar, bounced off him, and rolled in—meant the game ended all square once more.
Following that, Barcelona ramped up the intensity in pursuit of a winning goal and the upper hand going into the second leg, but Inter stood firm to ensure parity ahead of their next meeting in Italy.
