**Manchester United** could wrap up the January transfer window without adding a new striker, though they are monitoring **Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting** of **Bayern Munich** as one of several potential additions if they decide to enhance their attacking depth, per details obtained by **90min**.

Reports indicate that **Erik ten Hag**, the manager of **United**, wants to improve the team’s ability to score goals.

Still, the club’s main priority during the winter market is on player exits, and making significant acquisitions may be difficult—particularly if **Anthony Martial** remains at the club.

**United** previously weighed up a move for **Timo Werner** in November but chose not to actively pursue the deal. **Werner** has since secured a loan switch to **Tottenham Hotspur** from **RB Leipzig**, casting doubt over **United’s** pursuit despite earlier interest.

Sources familiar with the situation say that **Choupo-Moting** is being evaluated by **United**, with his current contract at **Bayern Munich** due to expire in the summer.

Though **Choupo-Moting** offers a financially feasible solution for **United**, there have been no tangible steps taken toward a deal at this stage.

Another forward being tracked by **United** is **Serhou Guirassy**, who is currently representing **Guinea** at the **Africa Cup of Nations**. However, **Guirassy** seems inclined to stay at **Stuttgart** for the rest of the campaign, despite the presence of a release clause in his deal.

Looking to the future, **United** have also had internal discussions about **Jonathan David** as a longer-term target. His contract with **Lille** runs through 2025, and speculation suggests **Lille** might need to consider selling him this summer.
