Real Madrid
Rodrygo faces terrible news
Real Madrid is currently experiencing a challenging phase, exacerbated by the shocking loss to FC Barcelona (5-2) in the Supercup of Spain final. This defeat, which took place in Saudi Arabia, has triggered a wave of criticism directed at both the team and its coach, Carlo Ancelotti. Ancelotti now faces mounting pressure as the team prepares for the upcoming King’s Cup match against Celta Vigo on Thursday.
The team’s performance against Barcelona has been labeled as a complete failure and a predictable outcome. Defensive breakdowns and a failure to capitalize on numerical advantage have exposed significant weaknesses in the team’s structure. This loss has also caused unrest within the squad, with some players questioning Ancelotti’s approach. Despite management’s continued support for the Italian coach, another poor performance could further undermine his position.
In response, Ancelotti is considering a major tactical shift. According to journalist Mario Cortegana, the coach intends to move away from the 4-3-3 formation and adopt a 4-4-2 diamond setup, a system that helped Real Madrid excel last season, with only two defeats throughout the campaign. Jude Bellingham will take on a more advanced role behind two strikers, and the team hopes this adjustment will restore the balance that has been missing this season.
