Devastating Blow for Man Utd: Five Key Players Could Miss Liverpool Clash Due to Red Card Controversy and Illness

Manchester United will be pleased with the return of Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte from suspension ahead of their match against Liverpool.

However, manager Ruben Amorim may still have to cope without five players for the trip to Anfield.

In his pre-match press conference, Amorim mentioned that Marcus Rashford is still uncertain due to illness. “He’s still ill and hasn’t been training,” Amorim said. “At the moment, it looks like he will be unavailable this week.”

Rashford, who has been the subject of ongoing transfer rumors, was an unused substitute during United’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle and has missed the last four games completely.

Additionally, United will be missing Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, and Victor Lindelof because of injuries. Both Mount and Shaw have suffered multiple setbacks after their recent returns to fitness.

Jonny Evans, on the other hand, missed Monday’s match against Newcastle for reasons not specified, though he has been included in the squad for the Liverpool fixture.

Fernandes, who was sent off against Wolverhampton Wanderers, will be available after completing his one-match suspension, as his previous red card against Tottenham was overturned.

Ugarte also returns to the squad after serving a suspension due to accumulating five yellow cards in the Premier League.
